Proxel AQ Preservative is a broad spectrum biocide for the preservation of industrial water-based products against the spoilage from microorganisms. It is an aqueous solution of 1, 2- benzisothiazolin- 3-one (BIT) that is pH and temperature stable and can easily be incorporated into a wide range of industrial products. Proxel AQ Preservative is an effective preservative in most aqueous compositions. The concentration required to give protection depends on several factors. These include the susceptibility of the system to microbiological degradation, the extent to which microorganisms can gain access, the species involved, pH, temperature, and length of time for which protection is required.

Proxel LS Preservative is an aqueous solution of 1, 2-benzisothiazolin- 3-one (BIT) and sodium-2-pyridine-thiol-1-oxide (NaPt). Proxel LS Preservative benefits from the use of these two complementary active agents, with differing modes of action making it particularly effective in preserving industrial products against spoilage caused by bacteria, yeasts and mold (fungi). Proxel LS Preservative is pH and temperature stable and easily incorporated into a wide range of industrial products. The product is stabilized against transchelation in the presence of transition metals, like iron.
