CD 301 is a dispersion of calcium stearate in water specially formulated for use in paper coating applications. The solids content is 50%, but the calcium stearate content is particularly high at between 47 and 48%. The narrow and tightly-controlled particle size distribution of the product insures a highly consistent degree of lubrication of the paper during manufacture. Dispersion stability is very high, resulting in a minimal level of sedimentation on storage, although agitation or pumped recirculation is recommended for extended periods. CD 301 is produced only from vegetable-based stearic acid
