BEESWAX SP-425YP

SP-45P is a general application grade yellow beeswax in pastille form. It has a melt point in the 60-65C range and similar properties to other beeswax products. Beeswax varies in color from yellow through brown to black, and it is believed that the pollen carried by the bee affects the coloration. Local flora on which the bee feeds is responsible for this variation, and pollination of agricultural crops is essential for a food supply. Strahl & Pitsch produces White and Yellow Grades of Beeswax. Specialty Beeswaxes are available (from specific geographical locations), along with Beeswax blended with other natural and mineral waxes. We also manufacture Synthetic and Substitute Beeswaxes. These customized wax compounds mirror the properties of genuine Beeswax, providing cost savings in applications where genuine Beeswax is not required.

Emulsifying Wax NF SP-210P

Emulsifying Wax NF - Pastilles - SP-210P is the pharmaceutical grade emulsifying ingredient conforming to the Monograph established by the National Formulary. SP 210P NF is a white, waxy solid that is low in odor. The use of Emulsifying Wax SP 210P NF permits disparate materials such as water and oil to be combined into consistent and stable emulsions, and is appropriate for oil-in-water or water-in-oil systems. At suggested use levels between 3-6 % SP 210P produces thick emulsions without auxiliary surfactants or the addition of stiffening waxes. The wax is commonly used in pharmaceutical topical lotion and creme products, and also is appropriate for a broad range personal care applications. It is an effective emollient and desirable thickening agent.

Laurel Wax

Laurel Wax - SP-9001 is obtained from the fruit of the Myrica Pubescens and commonly know as laurel wax. The wax is water extracted and greenish-white in color. It is a low melting range, hard wax with a high saponification value, and has the feel of soap when handled. It is useful in the development of natural cosmetics and personal care products. In skin care applications, Laurel Wax contributes to a glossy, rich, creamy feel and is considered quite stable.

Purester 34™

Purester 34 is a vegetable derived ester for Cosmetic & Personal Care use. Puresters are compatible with most vegetable and mineral waxes, as well as vegetable oils, mineral oils and petrolatum's.

Purester 40 is a vegetable derived ester for Cosmetic & Personal Care use. Puresters are compatible with most vegetable and mineral waxes, as well as vegetable oils, mineral oils and petrolatum's.

Rice Bran Wax SP-8002

Genuine Rice Bran Wax - SP-9002 is obtained through the cold press de-waxing of rice oil and which yields a yellow, hard natural wax with a high melt point, which is often compared to Carnauba Wax. However, there are functional differences between the two of note. Rice Bran Wax is a superior binder of oils and has been useful in combining with and stabilizing oils in both anhydrous and emulsion systems. It is seen as particularly effective in reducing syneresis in lipstick and other oil-based systems.
